Terms / Cancellation Policy
Terms and Conditions for Horseshoes Lodge, Breedon on the Hill.
- The Contract
Acceptance of these terms & conditions will constitute a contract between the owners of Horseshoes Lodge (“the owner”) and the person making the booking (“the guest”)
- Duration and Times of Rental
2.1 Rentals are for a maximum of eight weeks and commence at 3pm on the first day of the rental and end at 11am on the day of departure unless otherwise notified. This period is hereafter referred as “the Holiday”.
2.2 The period booked will be stated on the booking confirmation provided to “the guest” when they book and cannot be exceeded unless agreed with “the owner”. “The guest will be liable for any cost, of whatsoever nature, incurred because of an unauthorised extension.
- Deposit
3.1 If a booking is made six weeks or more before “the Holiday” is due to start, a non-refundable deposit of £150 is payable on the day of booking.
3.2 If a booking is made less than six weeks before “the Holiday” is due to start, the full rent plus any additional charges (if applicable) must be paid at the time of booking.
- Full Payment
4.1 The number of persons occupying the property must not exceed the maximum number agreed at the time of booking.
4.2 The balance of the total cost of the booking is to be paid in full six weeks prior to the arrival date. 4.3 Non payment of the full balance by this date will constitute a cancellation by the client and clause 5 will apply.
- Cancellation by “the guest”
5.1 “The owner” must be notified by e-mail and telephone of cancellation requests.
5.2 Cancellations made prior to six weeks before arrival date will result in a cancellation charge equal to the booking deposit.
5.3 Cancellations made within six weeks of the arrival date will result in a cancellation charge equal to the full cost of the booking.
5.4 It is strongly recommended that the client has a suitable holiday and travel insurance to cover such eventualities.
- Cancellation by “the owner”
6.1 In the unlikely event that the owners have reason to cancel the booking due to
6.2 circumstances beyond their control all monies received from the client will be refunded in full. 6.3 The owner will not be liable for any claims for compensation.
- Damage, Loss & Nuisance
7.1 The client agrees not to cause nuisance or annoyance to occupants of nearby properties. 7.2 The client agrees to leave the property in good order and agrees to pay in full for any damage or loss howsoever caused during the occupancy.
- Pets
8.1 Pets are not permitted on the property. In the event of non-compliance the owners reserve the right to terminate the letting immediately without refund.
- Non smoking policy
Smoking is not permitted within the property or the grounds of the property.
- Linen
All bed linen and towels are supplied for The Horseshoe Lodge.
- Price changes
11.1 “The owner” reserves the right to amend prices quoted on the website.
11.2 “The owner” reserves the right to increase or decrease the price of unsold weeks at any time.
- Liability
12.1 “The owner” will not be liable for any neglect of any person not within their
employ or otherwise under their control, nor for any accident, damage, loss, injury, expense or inconvenience, whether to the person or property, which “the guest” or any other person may suffer or incur arising out of, or in any way connected with, the rental unless “the owner” is responsible.
